Gillian Anderson - heels and hose

I used to adore The X-Files and I'm not ashamed to admit it. For the first time I can remember there was an hour show on TV that in many ways rivalled the quality of a sci-fi film in the cinema. The on-screen chemistry between David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson was undeniable and the writing was, for the most part, spot on. Sure it lost its way after a while, but when it was good it was really fantastic viewing.

So, yes, I miss The X-Files, but it's not only because of the great story and snappy direction. It's also because I was in love with Scully. Gillian Anderson won an Emmy for her portrayal of the skeptic doctor, and, let's face it, she was really easy on the eye. Who can forget the classic photoshoots in FHM? :)

Since The X-Files, Gillian has been in a number of accomplished films including The Mighty, Playing By Heart and Terrence Davies' heartbreaking House of Mirth adaptation. She's also been on stage and, damn, she still looks amazing.

To prove that point, here she is from a recent photoshoot, wearing some lovely heels and (you've guessed it) seamed stockings. What a temptress!

Also, if you're after The X-Files seasons on DVD I can recommend Series Three and Four as being well worth the recently-reduced price - the show was truly at its peak at this time.
