Christina Aguilera - messy in latex

Like Madonna before her, Christina Aguilera seems to be all about reinvention; from the sweet Mouseketeer of Genie Like a Bottle to the racy, sexed-up image of Dirrty or the wonderful 50s stylings of Candyman, she has kept her fans guessing about the next transformation.

Zooey Deschanel in corset dress

Zooey is younger sister of fellow actress Emily Deschanel. Emily is the female lead in lighthearted drama Bones, a show on which Zooey has also cameoed. Zooey (pronounced Zöe) has carved out her own niche, however, in a variety of film roles. Although initially somewhat stereotyped as the kooky friend thanks to her natural comedic ability and deadpan delivery, her versatility has been on show increasingly in recent years, culminating in a sterling performance in one of my favourite movies of the year - the superb (500) Days of Summer - alongside another accomplished young performer, Joseph Gordon-Levitt. Zooey also sings and plays several instruments, releasing a highly regarded CD last year with her band She and Him.

I just love this image of Zooey in a corset dress. And, yes, if you need to ask how much it is, you can't afford it ;)

Carla Gugino - corsets and more

Carla has had a prolific career, starting as a child actress in TV shows such as Falcon Crest and The Wonder Years. Since then, she's worked consistently in both films and popular TV fields. Arguably, she broke into the big time in 2001 with two hit movies, The One and Robert Rodriguez's Spy Kids. Most recently she has appeared in Zack Snyder's Watchmen (she featured on the blog here in her kinky superheroine guise) and the latest Disney Witch Mountain film.

Hollyoaks starlet Emma Rigby is moving on to pastures new soon, and this clip shows how much she's going to be missed by the UK's male population when she leaves.

Chanelle Hayes - corset ensemble

Chanelle Hayes appeared in the last Big Brother series here in the UK. Easy on the eye and ferociously ambitious, she has since released her own calendar, a perfume, started a singing career and been the subject of a documentary on her burgeoning pop-stardom. These shots are from the promotional tour for her first single.

Shania Twain in latex

It's difficult to believe these images are nearly ten years old! Shania is a fan of shiny clothes, but a committed animal lover, so she favours PVC and other synthetic materials in her live performances over leather. It's a jump from PVC to slinky latex though, and it's why this shoot is such a rare treat - I haven't seen Shania in rubber before or since.

I've included some alternative scans of some of these shots as I couldn't decide which were best. There aren't any super-high-quality images available (unless you know otherwise), but these are still a great addition to your collection.

Malin Akerman - Silk Spectre promo

More Watchmen today, this time featuring a latex-clad Malin Akerman as Silk Spectre. A couple of these shots have featured on the forums, but I believe these are of higher quality.

If you look closely at the costume, you can see that Malin is actually wearing a latex corset over her bodysuit. Or is it just me who looks closely at these things? ;)
